A page that keeps itself current
Each monitor you add becomes a component, and you can group components under section headings such as “API” or “Website”. Visitors see an overall banner (from “All systems operational” to “Major outage”), each component's current state and a bar for each of the past 90 days. A component only shows Outage once SutramX has confirmed the failure and opened an incident, so a single failed check never turns your page red. Ongoing incidents appear under the banner, and resolved ones stay in the incident history for 90 days.
Public or private
A page is public by default: anyone with the link can see it, and you can share it as a link, a status badge for your README or website, or an Atom/RSS feed. For internal or customer-specific pages, require a password (Growth and Pro). On Pro, visitors can instead sign in through your identity provider (OpenID Connect or SAML 2.0) or with a one-time link sent to an allowed email address or domain. Private pages are hidden from search engines and have no public badge or feed.
Your domain and your brand
Every plan can add a logo and an accent colour; the status colours themselves never change, so visitors can read the page at a glance. On Growth and Pro, serve the page from a subdomain you own, such as status.yourcompany.com: add a TXT record to prove ownership and a CNAME pointing at SutramX, click Verify, and the HTTPS certificate is issued and renewed automatically. The page also stays available at its SutramX address. White-label (Pro) removes the “Monitored by SutramX” footer and lets you set your own favicon.
Subscribers, incident updates and maintenance
- Email subscribersEvery published page has a subscribe form with double opt-in. Subscribers get one email when an incident starts and one when it is resolved, never for a single failed check, and at most 12 “started” emails per page per hour if a monitor is flapping.
- Incident updatesTick “Public” on an incident note and it appears under the incident on every page that shows the monitor, without the author's name. Internal notes and postmortems are never shown.
- Scheduled maintenanceMaintenance windows starting in the next 30 days are listed on the page; while one is in progress, the affected components show Maintenance instead of an outage.
Multi-language pages
The page's built-in text is available in English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Japanese, and every plan can choose the page language. On Growth and Pro, add extra languages with a switcher and translated titles; visitors get the first of their browser languages the page offers, and incident updates can be translated for each language.
Who it's for
SutramX status pages suit SaaS teams and API providers that want customers to see an outage being handled before support tickets pile up, and engineering and IT teams that need a private page for internal services or for a single customer. Because the page reads from the same monitors that alert your team, there is no second tool to keep in sync.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free status page plan?
Yes. The SutramX Free plan includes one status page with live component status, 90-day uptime bars, incident history, scheduled maintenance, email subscribers, an Atom/RSS feed, a status badge, and your own logo and accent colour. It needs no card and does not expire.
What is the most affordable way for a growing startup to get a status page on its own domain?
Start on the Free plan, which already includes a hosted status page at a SutramX address. When you want it on status.yourcompany.com, custom domains are included on Growth and Pro; the lowest-priced of these is Growth at $29/month incl. taxes. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically, and every plan has unlimited team seats.
Does the status page update itself?
Yes. Each component is one of your monitors. When SutramX confirms an outage, the component shows Outage and the incident appears at the top of the page; when the monitor recovers, the page goes back to green and the incident moves to the history. Maintenance windows you schedule appear on their own too.
Can I make a status page private?
Yes. Password-protected pages are included on Growth and Pro. Pages behind single sign-on (OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0 or a one-time email link to allowed addresses) are included on Pro. Private pages are hidden from search engines and have no public badge or feed.
How many people can subscribe to a status page?
Each page accepts up to 10,000 confirmed email subscribers. Subscriptions use double opt-in, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Subscribers get one email when an incident starts and one when it is resolved.
