How connecting works
Every chat, webhook and incident-management channel is connected the same way:
- Sign in to the SutramX dashboard and open Integrations & API in the sidebar, then the Integrations tab.
- On the card for your channel, click Connect. Where you see "Connect with …", you just sign in and approve. Otherwise the card shows two or three short steps and one box to paste into.
- Already have a webhook link? Paste it into the box at the top of the page and SutramX works out which service it belongs to.
- SutramX sends a test straight away so you can confirm delivery before any real incident.
- Optional: use Routing to send only some monitors or groups to this channel.
You can connect several channels of the same type, for example two Slack channels or a Telegram group plus a private chat, each with its own routing. Email works differently: see email and team members.
Which plans include which channels
| Free | Email, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Mattermost, Telegram |
|---|---|
| Starter | Everything in Free, plus webhooks, Zapier and GitHub issues |
| Growth & Pro | Everything in Starter, plus PagerDuty and Opsgenie |
Full plan details are on the pricing page. For how alerts are confirmed, deduplicated and escalated, see alerting and escalation.
More channels only help if the alerts are worth reading. The guides to reducing false alerts and incident response basics cover what should page someone and what happens next; the WhatsApp alert test shows what a downtime alert looks like before you sign up.
