Switch from Freshping

Freshping Has Shut Down. Bring Your Checks to SutramX.

If you saved a Freshping export before the shutdown, upload it and SutramX shows you every check it will create before it creates anything.

What happened to Freshping

  • Freshworks told Freshping users on 5 January 2026 that the product was being discontinued. (source: notifier.so)
  • Free accounts were disabled and paid subscriptions stopped renewing on 6 March 2026. (source: notifier.so)
  • Account data was due to be deleted about 90 days later, around 4 June 2026. If you did not export your checks, they cannot be recovered from Freshping now. (source: notifier.so)

Facts about Freshping were checked on 2 October 2026. See the full SutramX vs Freshping comparison.

Import from FreshpingAvailable

  • Upload your export fileFreshping has no public API left to read from, so the importer works from a file: the CSV or JSON export of your checks, up to 2 MB.

What comes across

  • Check name and URL or host
  • Check type: HTTP, HTTP with a text (string) check, ping, TCP port, UDP and heartbeat (SMTP checks become TCP port checks on the same port)
  • Check frequency (raised to your plan’s fastest interval if needed, and capped at 15 minutes)
  • Check locations, mapped to the SutramX probe locations your plan includes
  • Expected status codes and request timeout
  • Whether the check was paused
  • Alert contact email addresses, if the file lists them (each address confirms once before it receives alerts)
  • Application or group names, as tags

What does not

  • Incident and uptime history: SutramX starts recording from the moment a monitor is created.
  • DNS record checks are not imported yet; add them by hand.
  • Heartbeat URLs: each imported heartbeat gets a new SutramX URL, so point your jobs at it after importing.
  • Status pages and integrations: recreate them in SutramX (status pages take a few minutes).
  • XML files: the importer reads CSV and JSON only. Some Freshping account exports were delivered as XML. If that is what you have, contact us and we will help you convert it.

How every import works

  • Nothing changes in your old tool. The importer only reads.
  • You see a preview first: every check, what it becomes in SutramX, and any adjustment (a faster interval than your plan allows, a location your plan does not include). You choose which checks to import.
  • Checks over your plan’s monitor limit are marked, not silently dropped. Upgrade and preview again to bring the rest.
  • A check that already exists in your workspace (same URL or host) is skipped, and running the same import again never creates a monitor twice.
  • Imported monitors are tagged with the tool they came from, so they are easy to find and review.
  • Only the workspace owner can run an import, because it creates monitors and alert recipients.

Switch step by step

  1. Find the export you saved from Freshping (a CSV or JSON list of your checks).
  2. If you only have a list of URLs, a CSV with the columns Check Name, Check URL, Check Type and Check Frequency (in minutes) works too.
  3. No export at all? Add your most important checks by hand first; Add Monitor can discover a domain’s subdomains for you.
  4. Create a free SutramX account and open Dashboard → Import → Freshping. Free includes 50 monitors checked every 3 minutes from 1 region, 1 status page, with unlimited team members and no card. Paid plans add faster checks, more monitors and confirmation from 3 regions.
  5. Connect your alert channels, check the imported monitors, then move your status page domain and switch the old tool off.

Your price stays locked while you stay subscribed

When you subscribe to a paid plan, SutramX records the price you signed up at against your subscription. Renewals and later changes to our list prices do not change it: your next charges are shown at that locked price for as long as the subscription stays active.

  • The lock covers your plan, billing interval (monthly or yearly) and currency.
  • If you change plan, interval or currency, the current list price of the new choice applies and is then locked.
  • If you cancel and subscribe again later, the prices in effect at that time apply.

The full wording is in our Terms of Service and the billing docs.
