Moving From UptimeRobot? Import Your Monitors in One Step.

Paste a read-only UptimeRobot API key or upload a CSV export. SutramX previews every monitor it will create, adjusted to your plan, before anything is imported.

Why teams are looking around

  • In July 2025 UptimeRobot changed its pricing, and customers on older plans saw large increases; one widely shared analysis put the jump at roughly 425% for some paid plans. (source: Spork Ops)
  • UptimeRobot’s team plans include a fixed number of login seats (3 on Team, 5 on Scale) and extra seats cost more. Every SutramX plan includes unlimited team members. (source: uptimerobot.com/pricing)

To be fair: UptimeRobot’s free plan still includes 50 monitors at 5-minute intervals, and since its terms update of 26 May 2026 it may be used for commercial and business purposes. If 5-minute checks from UptimeRobot cover what you need, it is a good deal and you may not need to move. (source: uptimerobot.com/terms)

Import from UptimeRobotAvailable

  • Read-only API key (recommended)Create a Read-only API key in UptimeRobot (Integrations & API → API) and paste it into the importer. SutramX uses it once to read your monitors and alert contacts, and does not store it.
  • CSV exportUpload a CSV export of your monitors (up to 2 MB). A CSV carries monitors only, so alert contacts are not imported this way.

What comes across

  • Monitor name and URL or host (up to 5,000 monitors per import)
  • Monitor type: HTTP(s), keyword, ping, port and heartbeat (SMTP, POP3 and IMAP port monitors become TCP port checks)
  • Check interval (raised to your plan’s fastest interval if needed, and capped at 15 minutes) and timeout
  • Keyword rules (must contain / must not contain, case sensitivity)
  • Custom “up” status codes, HTTP method, request body, custom headers and basic auth (API import)
  • Whether the monitor was paused
  • Alert contact email addresses (API import; each address confirms once before it receives alerts)

What does not

  • Uptime history and incident logs: SutramX starts recording when each monitor is created.
  • SMS and voice contacts: add phone recipients in SutramX on a plan that includes them.
  • Slack and webhook contacts: connect them again in Integrations so they can be verified.
  • Status pages and maintenance windows: recreate them in SutramX.
  • Heartbeat URLs: each imported heartbeat gets a new SutramX URL, so point your jobs at it after importing.

How every import works

  • Nothing changes in your old tool. The importer only reads.
  • You see a preview first: every check, what it becomes in SutramX, and any adjustment (a faster interval than your plan allows, a location your plan does not include). You choose which checks to import.
  • Checks over your plan’s monitor limit are marked, not silently dropped. Upgrade and preview again to bring the rest.
  • A check that already exists in your workspace (same URL or host) is skipped, and running the same import again never creates a monitor twice.
  • Imported monitors are tagged with the tool they came from, so they are easy to find and review.
  • Only the workspace owner can run an import, because it creates monitors and alert recipients.

Switch step by step

  1. In UptimeRobot, open Integrations & API → API and create a Read-only API key (a Main key works too, but read-only is all the importer needs).
  2. Or export your monitors as CSV from the UptimeRobot dashboard.
  3. Keep UptimeRobot running until you have compared both for a week.
  4. Create a free SutramX account and open Dashboard → Import → UptimeRobot. Free includes 50 monitors checked every 3 minutes from 1 region, 1 status page, with unlimited team members and no card. Paid plans add faster checks, more monitors and confirmation from 3 regions.
  5. Connect your alert channels, check the imported monitors, then move your status page domain and switch the old tool off.

Your price stays locked while you stay subscribed

When you subscribe to a paid plan, SutramX records the price you signed up at against your subscription. Renewals and later changes to our list prices do not change it: your next charges are shown at that locked price for as long as the subscription stays active.

  • The lock covers your plan, billing interval (monthly or yearly) and currency.
  • If you change plan, interval or currency, the current list price of the new choice applies and is then locked.
  • If you cancel and subscribe again later, the prices in effect at that time apply.

The full wording is in our Terms of Service and the billing docs.
