  • · MonitoringNot yet available

Suggested checks when you add a monitor

Paste a URL and SutramX looks at the site once, like one visitor, shows what it is and what it depends on (for example an online store on Shopify that takes payments with Razorpay) and suggests up to six checks, such as the checkout page, SSL and domain expiry, or outage alerts for your payment provider. Nothing is added until you tick it, and checks your plan does not include are never ticked for you. Read more about Suggested checks when you add a monitor

  • · AlertsNot yet available

Outages are re-checked right before we alert you

Just before a down alert is sent, SutramX checks the monitor once more. If the site is still failing, the alert says so ("Re-verified at 12:03 UTC from Frankfurt: still failing"). If it answers again, the alert waits briefly and is dropped if the site really recovered, never for more than about 5 minutes. Escalation steps wait while a monitor is recovering, and expiry warnings are skipped for certificates and domains you have already renewed. Read more about Outages are re-checked right before we alert you

  • · Mobile

SutramX for Android on Google Play

The SutramX app is on Google Play. See your monitors and incidents, acknowledge, resolve and pause from your phone, switch workspaces and get push alerts with an Acknowledge button on the notification. Critical alerts can sound even with the phone on silent. The iPhone app is not released yet. Read more about SutramX for Android on Google Play

  • · Monitoring

Pick any live location on every plan

The location picker lists every live probe location on every plan, Free included. Your plan sets how many locations each monitor can use, not which ones. On a one-location plan, picking another location swaps it. Read more about Pick any live location on every plan

  • · Monitoring

    Location failover

If a location a monitor uses goes offline or is blocked, the nearest live location covers its checks until it is back, so the monitor keeps being checked. The location picker warns when a location is offline or blocked and shows which live location is covering for it. Checks and cross-region confirmation use only the locations you picked. Read more about Location failover

  • · AlertsIn development

Add to Microsoft Teams and Google Chat in one click

Add the SutramX bot to a Teams channel, or the SutramX app to a Google Chat space, press Connect on the card it posts and confirm in the dashboard. No webhook link to copy. Webhook connections keep working as before. Read more about Add to Microsoft Teams and Google Chat in one click

  • · Dashboard

    Dashboard on phones and tablets

Landscape phones get a slimmer header and tab bar, menus open upward when there is no room below, check history and team lists switch between a table and cards by the space they have, long monitor names wrap to two lines, and form fields no longer make iPhones and iPads zoom in.

  • · Website

    Faster, more accessible website

The pricing page loads much faster on phones because the cookie notice no longer holds up the first paint. Counters and wide tables read correctly with screen readers and keyboards, touch targets are at least 44px, and pages fit notched phones in landscape.

  • · MobileIn development

Mobile app: charts, run a check, snooze and notes (in development)

The app gains a response-time chart (1 hour to 30 days), run a check now, recent checks, certificate and domain expiry, maintenance windows, snoozing alerts, team notes on incidents, signed-in devices, monitor search and an open-incident count on the app icon. These are not in the released app yet.

  • · Dashboard

Forms catch problems before you save

Monitor, maintenance, on-call, escalation, postmortem, billing and password forms apply the same limits as the API and show the problem next to the field instead of failing on save. Maintenance windows cannot start in the past, end before they start or run longer than 30 days.

  • · Status pages

One Save button in the status page editor

General, Components and Branding now save together from one sticky Save changes button.

  • · Billing

Clearer plans and checkout on phones

Yearly prices show the monthly equivalent, the plan comparison keeps its feature column in place while you scroll, and checkout on phones puts billing details and Pay first. Upgrade buttons everywhere open the plans page.

  • · Monitoring

    More accurate long-range uptime

Uptime over long ranges counts only time inside the range and leaves out maintenance windows. Cron monitors in any time zone handle daylight-saving changes the same way.

  • · Dashboard

Optional product analytics, only with your consent

sutramx.com and the dashboard can use PostHog product analytics, but only after you accept in the cookie banner, and one choice covers both. Never on status pages. Session replays hide on-screen text. PostHog stores this data in the United States. Read more about Optional product analytics, only with your consent

  • · Website

    Light theme and new guides

sutramx.com now follows your device's light or dark setting. New guides cover cron, DNS and domain expiry monitoring, 502, 503 and 504 errors, sites not loading on Jio or Airtel, MTTR and on-call rotations, and a postmortem template. Read more about Light theme and new guides

  • · Website

    Five new free tools

A cron expression parser with next run times, an error budget calculator with burn rate, an MTTR and MTBF calculator, an incident status message generator, and a Unix timestamp converter. All run in the browser, no account needed. Read more about Five new free tools

  • · Developers

    Vercel deploy integration retired

The planned one-click Vercel connection for deploy tracking has been dropped. Netlify and Render connections are still coming soon. To show Vercel deploys on incidents, send them from GitHub or your CI with the signed deploy webhook. Monitoring sites hosted on Vercel is not affected. Read more about Vercel deploy integration retired

  • · Alerts

Why this alert: every incident explains itself

Each incident now shows every region's result, the quorum rule applied, the failure class (DNS, TLS, timeout, 5xx and more), how many regions saw it, and whether an alert was sent or why not. A one-line verdict, including "Likely not your fault" when the evidence points elsewhere, is added to email, chat, PagerDuty, Opsgenie and webhook alerts. Monitors also get a 7- and 30-day flakiness score. Rule-based, no AI, on every plan. Read more about Why this alert: every incident explains itself

  • · Monitoring

    Vendor outage detection

When a vendor API such as Stripe, OpenAI or an AWS region fails for several SutramX customers at once, your incident and alert say "Likely external", based on SutramX's own checks rather than the vendor's status page. The new Vendor health view under Third-party status compares what SutramX detected with the official status. Only aggregate signals are used, and a vendor is only flagged when at least 3 customer accounts are affected. On every plan. Read more about Vendor outage detection

  • · Monitoring

    Checks from Indian ISP networks

Check HTTP, API and DNS monitors from Jio, Airtel, Vi, BSNL and ACT networks (through the Globalping probe network) to catch ISP block pages and DNS sinkholes that data-centre checks miss. "Check from Indian ISPs now" is on every plan; Growth and Pro add checks every 10 minutes and "Unreachable for Jio users" notices. ISP-only problems never open a downtime incident or change uptime. Read more about Checks from Indian ISP networks

  • · Monitoring

    MCP server monitors

A new monitor type for remote MCP servers: it runs the initialize handshake, negotiates the protocol version and lists the tools over Streamable HTTP, and alerts on protocol errors, version mismatches, missing expected tools and tool-list or schema changes. Tools are never called. On every plan. Read more about MCP server monitors

  • · Dashboard

Opsgenie import: heartbeats, phone numbers and a follow-up checklist

The Opsgenie import now also brings heartbeats across as heartbeat monitors, with the new ping URL to swap into each job. Phone numbers are imported only if you tick them, and SMS and voice steps wait until each person confirms by email. Integrations, routing rules and alert policies are listed in a checklist with their SutramX equivalents. Opsgenie shuts down on 5 April 2027. Read more about Opsgenie import: heartbeats, phone numbers and a follow-up checklist

  • · Monitoring

Monitoring moved to Frankfurt: new checker IP addresses

SutramX now runs in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Our built-in checker's IP address changed from 52.5.130.219 to 63.180.157.22, and checks also run from Arizona, USA (46.202.196.109). If your firewall allowlists SutramX by IP, add both addresses and remove the old one; allowlisting the SutramX-Monitor user agent as well keeps checks working if an address changes. The New York location has been retired, and monitors that checked from New York were moved to Frankfurt automatically; nothing else about your monitors changed. Read more about Monitoring moved to Frankfurt: new checker IP addresses

  • · Dashboard

Import monitors from UptimeRobot, Freshping, Better Stack and Pingdom

Dashboard → Import reads your checks with a read-only API key (UptimeRobot, Better Stack, Pingdom) or an export file (UptimeRobot CSV, Freshping CSV or JSON), shows a preview adjusted to your plan, and never creates a monitor twice. Read more about Import monitors from UptimeRobot, Freshping, Better Stack and Pingdom

  • · Dashboard

Import Opsgenie on-call schedules and escalation policies

Connect an Opsgenie API key to bring schedules, rotations and escalation policies across, then review them before they go live. Read more about Import Opsgenie on-call schedules and escalation policies

  • · Teams

Viewer role and read-only API keys

Invite people as Viewers to let them see monitors, incidents and reports without changing anything, and create API keys that can only read.

  • · Monitoring

    Monitor secrets are write-only

Passwords, auth headers and credentials in monitor settings are masked once saved. Leave them untouched to keep the stored value, or type a new one to replace it.

  • · Monitoring

August 2026

  • · Monitoring

Bot protection is reported as a block, not an outage

When a firewall or bot-protection challenge (for example from Cloudflare or Vercel) stops a check, the monitor says so instead of reporting your site as down. Read more about Bot protection is reported as a block, not an outage

  • · Billing

Downgrades wait for the end of the billing period

Moving to a smaller plan now takes effect when the period you paid for ends, not straight away.
