Mobile app
Get the SutramX Android app on Google Play for monitors, incidents and push alerts, or install the dashboard to your iPhone's Home Screen.
The SutramX app for Android is on Google Play. The iPhone app isn't released yet; on an iPhone, install the dashboard to your Home Screen and get browser push alerts through it.
Get the Android app#
- Open SutramX on Google Play and install it.
- Sign in with your SutramX email and password. If you've turned on two-factor authentication, enter your code (email, authenticator app or a backup code). If you signed up with Google or GitHub and the app doesn't offer them, set a password with Forgot your password.
- Allow notifications when the app asks, so it can send push alerts.
What you can do in the app#
- Monitors: a status summary and your monitors with down ones first. Open a monitor to see its recent incidents, and Pause or Resume monitoring.
- Incidents: ongoing, acknowledged, resolved or all, each with its timeline. Acknowledge and Resolve from the incident. Viewers have read-only access, so these buttons are hidden for them.
- Push alerts: a notification when a monitor goes down or recovers, with an Acknowledge button on the notification. Tapping it opens the incident.
- Critical alerts: in Settings, choose which alerts are pushed and which are critical. Monitor down is critical by default. Critical alerts use an alarm channel that plays with the ringer on silent; to let them through Do Not Disturb, tap Open critical channel settings under Settings → Critical alerts and turn on Override Do Not Disturb. Test alert and Test critical check that alerts arrive.
- Workspaces: switch workspace in Settings. Push is turned on per workspace, and an alert from another workspace opens in that workspace.
- Delete account: in Settings, with the same rules as the dashboard's Danger zone.
Signing out removes the phone from push alerts.
Use the dashboard on your phone#
On an iPhone, or if you prefer the browser, the dashboard at https://app.sutramx.com/dashboard works in mobile browsers. You can also install it like an app:
- iPhone and iPad (Safari): tap Share → Add to Home Screen, then open SutramX from the new icon.
- Android (Chrome): use the browser menu's install or Add to Home screen option.
The installed dashboard opens full screen, without browser bars, and signs in the same way as the website: password, Google, GitHub or SSO, with two-factor authentication if you've turned it on. See Sign-in & security.
Get browser push alerts on your phone#
Without the Android app, turn on browser push alerts on the phone itself:
- On iPhone or iPad, first add SutramX to your Home Screen (see above) and open it from there. iOS only allows push for web apps opened from the Home Screen.
- Sign in and open Alerts → Channels & API from the menu.
- In the Browser push alerts card, click Turn on in this browser and allow notifications when your phone asks.
- Click Send test to check that alerts arrive.
Each browser or installed app is registered separately, so turn push on in every place where you want alerts. Browser push alerts are included on every plan. See Email & push for details and troubleshooting.
Other ways to get alerts on the go#
- Email, on every plan. See Email & push.
- Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord and Telegram through their own mobile apps. See Slack, Teams & chat apps.
- SMS, WhatsApp and voice calls for urgent alerts. See SMS, WhatsApp & voice.
- PagerDuty and Opsgenie, if your team already uses their mobile apps. See PagerDuty & Opsgenie.
