How SutramX knows a vendor is down
SutramX customers monitor the APIs they depend on: payment gateways, clouds, AI providers, email and more. When checks of the same vendor start failing for at least 3 different customer accounts at once, with timeouts, 5xx errors, connection or TLS failures, SutramX marks the vendor as degraded and tells those customers that the outage is likely not their fault. Where does this status come from?
From SutramX's own uptime checks. Many SutramX customers monitor vendor APIs such as Stripe, Razorpay or OpenAI. When checks of the same vendor fail for at least 3 different customer accounts at the same time, SutramX marks the vendor as degraded. It is not the vendor's official status page.
Why does a vendor show "Not enough data"?
SutramX only says a vendor has no problems when enough different customer accounts are checking it right now. With too few checks, saying "up" would be a guess, so the page says it does not know and links to the vendor's official status page instead.
Is any customer data shown here?
No. Only aggregate signals are published: the vendor, the time, broad probe regions and the kind of failure. Never a customer, a monitored URL, a response time or an exact number of accounts.
How do I check a site that is not listed?
